Summer Living at NCV

January 15, 2014
Posted by: Jonathan Billingham, 15:50PM

While some other UNSW Colleges are still empty over the summer break, NCV never sleeps. Many residents have chosen to remain living in their studio and apartment rooms over the 2013/14 Summer Vacation Period. While some residents have stayed to continue their research and laboratory work in the University, others are taking advantage of living in such a central location in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney either to do casual work and earn some money or just to do holiday things. A short bus ride away from the CBD and Sydney’s famous beaches, NCV is ideal student accommodation, even when there are no exams to study for!

During January and February, NCV Summer Suppers will take place on Monday evenings in the Main Common Room. While we have sadly said goodbye (or see you later) to some of our residents as they embark upon their career, it is exciting to see new faces around the building as another wave of residents move in and begin their studies. At the end of February the College will run a Welcome Week to introduce new residents to the community and returning residents. It will be a week full of fun activities within the College and an opportunity to visit some of Sydney’s best attractions and establishments whilst making new (potentially life-long) friends.
