Every resident’s room at New College Village is equipped with a study desk and shelves. All rooms have an internet connection and the communal IT facilities (including Wi-Fi in common areas) are of excellent standard. During daytime, the 13 common rooms spread across the 7 levels of NCV are often used for private or small group study whilst at night they are more commonly used as a place for social gatherings. A reading room and a business centre, both located on the ground floor, are two other communal areas that NCV residents use for private and small group study. The Main Common Room can also be booked as a study space and is often used for Tutorials and research seminars provided by NCV’s Academic Tutors and guest speakers. As NCV is located on the main UNSW campus in Kensington, it is very easy for residents to access a huge range of resources and study spaces. With its sister community, New College, NCV is the leading UNSW accommodation provider when it comes to academic support and resources.
