Service to Society
NCV’s mission is to foster a diverse and supportive community founded on Christian faith and values that encourages academic excellence, service to society and lifelong learning. Many of our residents demonstrate ‘service to society’ by active involvement in serving the community in Sydney and around the world.
For example, NCV’s residents are involved in providing tutoring to local disadvantaged students through the SHACK tutoring program. Students have also been involved in charities such as the Make A Wish Foundation, the Red Cross and The Cancer Council. Our residents have participated in initiatives like “Clean Up Australia Day”, and have organised charity concerts to respond to natural disasters around the world. The NCV community are always on the lookout for opportunities to provide support for those who need it most.
Our residents are heavily involved in various clubs and societies on campus, and on more than one occasion entire clubs have been conceived and launched by NCV Residents, with great success. As home to a community of motivated and passionate individuals, NCV is a great place to use your energy and initiative to give something back to the local and wider community.
