New College Village (NCV) is a residential College for full or part-time students enrolled at the University of New South Wales and affiliated organisations such as the National Institute for Dramatic Arts (NIDA) and the College of Fine Arts (CoFA). We aim to offer the best UNSW accommodation and student experience for one of Australia's best universities.
New College Village (NCV) is self-catered university accommodation that is home to 315 students of The University of New South Wales. University support is available to residents. Research Seminars are run by the NCV Dean to help residents learn new skills for research, writing and presentations. From time to time guest lecturers are brought in to help run these seminars and the NCV also has a team of academic tutors across a broad range of academic disciplines to help residents on a weekly basis or as required. Pastoral Care is offered to the NCV residents led by the Dean, Assistant Dean and a team of Senior Residents. This NCV Community is an ideal place for postgraduate students wanting a good balance between personal space and a strong sense of community, or for undergraduates looking for a college experience with more independence than a traditional college environment. NCV is far more than just a place to live and study and many residents stay at NCV for a number of years whilst they undertake their program at the University of New South Wales.
Residents are accommodated at the NCV in single rooms. There are both Studio rooms or rooms in a 5-6 bedroom apartment. Every room is furnished and has an ensuite and air-conditioning.

Comparing NCV to other Self-Catered Colleges at UNSW?
Other Self-catered providers of accommodation at UNSW include, The University Terraces, Colombo House, Barker St Apartments and UNSW Village.
NCV is unique among self-catered colleges and residences in that it provides well developed community life and pastoral care through the Master, Dean and Senior Resident Team. Moreover, NCV also provides academic tutoring at no additional cost in certain subject areas.
NCV is also the only air-conditioned accommodation on campus and, even though primarily self-catered, does offer a meal plan to residents who may be interested.
