Administrative Staff

Master
imageProfessor Trevor Cairney is the Master and Chief Executive Officer for the New College Village. His role involves the management of New College and the New College Village. He also provides leadership in relation to pastoral oversight, academic support, development of New College and the relationship of NCV to the University and wider community.

Dean of Residents
Professor Trevor Cairney is acting in this role in 2009 as well as being Master of New College. He is responsible for the pastoral care of residents, and co-ordination of the senior residents and academic tutors.


Bursarimage
Mr Ken Barnes is responsible for the finances and administration of financial support and assistance, as well as the co-ordination of IT at the NCV.










New College Village Receptionistimage
The NCV receptionist is Connie. She is the first port of call in office hours in relation to finance maintenance and other matters relating to the building. Connie is also able to provide a variety of useful information on the NCV, University and living in Sydney.










Conference and Casual Accommodation image
Katarina is the conference and casual accommodation co-ordinator for the NCV and New College. She is also involved in CASE administration and works with Connie at reception.









Senior Residents (SRs)
The primary responsibility of SRs is the care and development of residents. This care includes all aspects of working constantly towards a physically, emotionally and psychologically safe environment. SRs also assist with NCV administration out of business hours.

Academic Tutors
Academic tutors (ATs) are appointed each year, within the NCV to assist residents with their studies. Tutors are typically in their final stages of a PhD. The type of assistance given will vary from discipline to discipline, and may be approached in a formal tutorial, seminar, or one-on-one tutoring. The composition of the team will also vary year to year, dependent upon the composition of the NCV community.
